If I was not stressed out and depressed enough already... life decides to show up on my doorstep, ransack my house and shit in my shoe.
My house is 85 degrees with the windows open and fans blowing.
My air conditioning unit is not working.... in middle Tennessee.... in summer....
If there is a God.... he really fucking hates me and if he doesn't hate me? Then he must be Loki... and if he is Loki... then someone please quickly contact Donald Blake...
Anyways, someone is supposed to be out at 10 am to look at it and try and fix it. Hopefully it just needs to be recharged.
Brant is one of the Co-Creators of The Wizard of Id comic strip. I mentioned it before and I will again, a Wizard of ID book was one of the 2 books my grandmother gave me to learn how to read. (The other being B.C.)
Thank you Brant for your awesome comics.

In fact as a small child my grandmother gave me a B.C. book to help me learn how to read. So this is rather sad for me as his comics have been with me since I was about 7-8 years old.
They say he died at his Storyboard. Wow... what a way to live and then go eh? Doing what you love to do and creating something that will live on long after you have passed.
Rest in Peace Johnny, Your comics really meant a lot to me.

SciFi has a small news blurb that Warner Brothers has hired Kiernan and Michele Mulroney to nail down a Justice League of America script. Now I understand that scripts are written all the time and nothing is ever done with them, but let's pretend for a moment that the script is done and the studio green lights it.
Who would play the main cast? Would they attempt to hire Christian Bale to play Batman and Brandon Routh to play Superman? Or would we get an entire casting change to keep costs down?
Who do you guys think would play the following?
- Wonder Woman
- Batman
- Superman
- The Green Lantern
- The Flash
- Aquaman
- Martian Manhunter
- Green Arrow
- Black Canary
Dave Cockrum passed away.
Wow, I grew up on this man's illustrations. He did the X-Men... The X-men was a failure when it was first around and Cockrum along with Len Wein created Colossus, Nightcrawler, Storm and even Mystique.
He was a massive fan of comics and his creations really stuck with me
through my childhood. He passed away Sunday at the age of 65 due to complications from diabetes. He was wearing his Superman pajamas and was under his Batman blanket. Wow... what a way to go out in life. Surrounded by his wife and family and with his hobbies. How many of us get to do what we love?
I read this story and I began to tear up. Some people had Superman, Spider-man and Batman to grow up on, for me it was Cockrum's art in X-Men. He inspired me and I am a bit heart broken today at this news.
