Smallville - Phantoms

Ok, so I watched the season finale of Smallville. This season has been really good, formation of the Justice League, Martian Manhunter, Lex being really evil.
Then last night finally realizing that Lionel Luther is a good guy... that was cool. The priest and the old man at the beginning when Martian Manhunter shows up...that was awesome.
But as a season ender... there was no real build up to this episode. So how they were going to end it is beyond me.
Then as the episode rolled along, things just got really bad. Ma Kent heading out to Washington DC, Lois killed, Chloe's power that seems to have revived Lois and killed Chloe in the process? Lana's apparent death (We all know she faked her own demise)... but then... then... Supes face off with the Phantom....who turns out to be...
BIZZARO!!!!
When I realized who it was and I started geeking out...I swear my wife looked at me and asked the following: "You just had a geekgasm didn't you?"
Well done Smallville folks... you really did good.

Thanks for having that geekgasm. I didn't know why the face of the phantom transformed like that. I'll have to google Bizzarro now. I most liked finding out Chloe's power. But I found the episode lacking also. I mean, we all know that Lana is not dead. She always is supposedly killed every season finale. And yeah, she staged her disappearance. My only question is how many episodes she will miss next year before she reappears. And I get the impression that Ma Kent is gone for good. Sad if so.
