Knee Surgery Ahoy!
Regarding my absolutely awesome knee problem, I have surgery next Wednesday the 28th. Not sure of the time at the moment, but it will be in the morning.
The doctor looked over my MRI results and confirmed that it is indeed a torn meniscus. In fact he had a very complex medical term for it. He said "It is a very large tear".
So they will drill three holes into my knee and place a scope in one and the implements of torture into the other two. The work they have to do is, as he explained it, very much like trimming a cuticle.
He will clip away the damaged part and they will then smooth out and arrange the cartilage so that it once more does the job of providing a cushion between my tibia and femur.
The recoup time is almost exactly what I was reading about and so I will be able to remove bandages on that Friday after and I will be able to put weight on my leg again.
But for those two and a half days?
Whoohooo XBox360 time....
I am hoping that I can get some photos of the surgery taking place. It would rule if I had a pic of the scope in my leg.

They'll dope you up, before they cut.
-Don't worry!
;-)
And sadly, arthroscopic surgery doesn't even leave cool scars to show people.
It does wonders after it's all healed though.
Good luck!
