It doesn't matter if you stray from the plan from time to time as the overall focus is long-term. You're looking at a lifestyle change and you will get there. Do you have an idea of how many calories you've been achieving recently, apart from these past few days?
Yes I seem to be sitting around 1600-1700 calories, which is right on target with what I wish to accomplish.

I need to sit down and do some numbers crunching tonight.

I think I need a spreadsheet... yeah... that would be most helpful.
That's fantastic! I do think that you should check with your doctor or a nutritionist what you should be aiming for. We have a TV show over here that I like to watch where quite big people go on diets and the advice is usually to have higher calories than you'd expect and to whittle this down over time. I'm not sure whether it's to avoid rapid weight loss but it might be worth looking into how you're advised... Did I mention "well done!"? You're doing well.
