They put him back on life support and they rescheduled his surgery.

I guess it was a nice try, but he suddenly could no longer breath on his own.

Best wishes to you and you family. I hope it all goes well for him.

I hopeyou are also take care of yourself through this. You know, all that eat right and get enough sleep stuff. I've been through long hospital stays like this with family members, and it really helps.
